Authorities are investigating a shooting in west Phoenix which left a man dead on Sunday afternoon.
According to Phoenix Fire, a man was shot multiple times in a parking lot near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road, where a low-rider car show was taking place.
According to court documents, the incident stemmed from an altercation in the parking lot between two men.
The victim, identified by police as 27-year-old Andrew Alvarado, was waiting for a car tow when he was approached by the suspect, 26-year-old Miguel Flores.
Police reports say that the two argued for several minutes before the shooting happened.
Alvarado was shot multiple times, and later died from his injuries at the hospital.
Multiple reports state that bystanders performed chest compressions until officials arrived at the scene.
Flores fled the area, and was later located around 11:50 p.m. Sunday at his girlfriend's house.
Flores was booked into jail on one count of first-degree murder.
