Police are investigating after an 83-year-old man was killed near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road on Monday morning.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, shortly before 6 a.m. Buenaventura Barraza-Maya was found in the roadway.
Barraza-Maya was taken to a hospital by paramedics; he later died from his injuries.
Police believe the man's injuries are consistent with injuries of being struck by a vehicle.
Investigators were in the area looking for evidence; no vehicle, driver or witnesses have been located.
