PHOENIX — A 28-year-old woman has serious injuries after being hit by multiple vehicles in Phoenix Tuesday evening.
Emergency responders were called to the area of 81st Avenue and Indian School Road around 6 p.m. after woman crossing mid-block was said to have been hit by at least three vehicles.
The first vehicle, which no witness had a description for, reportedly fled the scene and a second vehicle, a newer model truck, also fled the scene.
A third driver, who hit the woman when she was already on the ground, stayed at the scene. Police say the driver was not impaired and no charges are pending against him.
The victim is said to be in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
