Phoenix police say a 41-year-old woman was shot and killed by her estranged husband in Tolleson on Monday night.
Just before 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
Police say Kine Ricard was shot multiple times in front of her home by Brian Brooks, 42.
After the shooting, Brooks reportedly fled the area.
Ricard was able to crawl to a neighbor where she was met by officers.
Fire personnel transported Ricard to the hospital where she later died.
Shortly after, officers from the Tempe Police Department located Brooks and took him into custody.
Brooks was then booked into jail on first-degree murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, misconduct with weapons, and violating an order of protection.
Police say Brooks and Ricard were married for 17 years before separating and have three children together.
Earlier in the day, Brooks had held Ricard at gunpoint and told her where to drive.
The shooting then took place after they had arrived at her home, police said.
