A vehicle fire that ignited Saturday quickly spread to a nearby home.
Phoenix firefighters responded around 2:30 p.m. to a home near 91st Avenue and Indian School. Crews arrived to find the flames had spread to the attic.
Neighbors dialed 911 and knocked on the door of the home to make sure the six people and two dogs inside got out safely, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
