Authorities say a child was pulled from a Chandler pool Saturday morning "semi-responsive."

Police officers were called to a home near Ray and Alma School roads around 10:30 a.m. after a family member found a child in a pool, authorities said.

Fire crews responded to the scene and the child was taken to a local hospital for further treatment, officials said. The victim was breathing when he or she was taken out of the pool.

The current status of the child is unknown at this time.

A Chandler police spokesman added that they're not investigating the incident as a criminal matter.

No additional information was immediately available.
