When we talk about boot camp, you might think of getting in shape, but that's not the case for this boot camp in Chandler.
The University of Arizona is offering up a different kind of boot camp for the tech world and the possibility of getting a job in web development is pretty good, too.
About 50,000 tech jobs go unfilled every year because there's just not enough people trained to do the work. As fast as technologies change, so does the number of jobs out there.
"By 2020 there's going to be a million more jobs available in web development than there are going to be people able to fill those jobs," says Amalia Mora with the university. "We have a 90-percent career placement rate for everyone who finishes the requirements of the program at the end. It really pays off."
The first boot camp starts in April. Students will meet two nights a week and on Saturday. The program is designed for working people, so they'll be able to keep their day job. You don't have to be enrolled in the university to attend the 24-week class.
