Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row is expanding into downtown Gilbert.

Construction on the country-themed restaurant and bar known for its live music is scheduled to begin on Tuesday. It will be located on Gilbert Road between Vaughn and Page avenues.

The 8,000-square-foot restaurant is expected to be finished in November or December of this year. It will have a 10,000 square-foot outdoor patio with space for cornhole and ping-pong; a large dance floor and stage inside and large windows facing out to downtown Gilbert, according to LGE Design Build, the company in charge of construction.

The menu boasts typical American fare--burgers, sliders, pulled pork, salads--but says everything is made from scratch using premium ingredients.

There are two other locations in Scottsdale and Tempe.

Country singer Dierks Bentley is in town this week for the groundbreaking, but also to play in the Annexus Pro-Am in the 2016 Waste Management Phoenix Open and to headline a concert at the Birds Nest.
