Officials are investigating after a person was found dead in a garage fire at a Gilbert home.
Crews responded to the home, near Higley and Pecos roads, around 2 p.m. on Friday.
According to Gilbert fire, a victim was found dead in the garage and has not yet been identified. Gilbert police officers were able to rescue a dog just before fire crews arrived.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
