A young girl is hospitalized in serious condition after she was found in a Gilbert pool.
Reports came in about a possible drowning around 6:15 p.m. Saturday evening at a home near Val Vista Drive and Elliot Road.
According to a Gilbert fire spokesperson, the 2-year-old girl was pulled from a pool and CPR was performed until firefighters arrived.
Update on drowning. 2yo. female, pulled from pool, CPR performed prior to Gilbert fire crew arrival. Patient in serious condition.

The child and her family were visiting the home and do not live there, authorities said.
No additional information was immediately available and it's unclear how the child got into the pool.
