GILBERT, AZ — Police are investigating after a man's body was recovered from a lake in a Gilbert neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
According to police, a passerby was walking around the lake near Queen Creek and Lindsay roads when they saw the man's body floating face down in the water.

Police and rescue crews responded and began recovery operations.
Authorities say the man, who is described as a black male, has yet to be identified.
Investigators say it appears the body had been in the water for some time.
