An unlicensed contractor working in Arizona has been arrested by Gilbert Police.

Forty-eight-year-old Juan Esteban Ordonez reportedly gave his insurance adjuster business card to a woman in Gilbert on Thursday. She recognized his information and called officials.

The Arizona Registrar of Contractors had received prior complaints from his business, Expert Contracting, LLC, for poor work and abandonment dating back to 2013. An investigation shows that Ordonez had accepted more than $18,000 from homeowners for work that his business never started or completed.

Because of those complaints, his license was revoked and ROC's investigation was submitted to MCAO for charging. A warrant was then issued for his arrest in November 2015 for multiple felony counts of fraudulent schemes and artifices, as well as theft.

Police located Ordonez after Thursday's tip and an arraignment for those charges is set for this Thursday in Maricopa County.
