MESA, AZ — One person is dead after a house fire in Mesa Saturday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 5:30 p.m. near Power Road and Main Street.
According to a Mesa police, a woman identified as 60-year-old Cynthia Freimuth, was unable to get out of the home in time and died. Officials say eight other family members were able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross is working with the family to provide food and shelter.
