Mesa police are investigating the discovery of a body in a canal.
Authorities say the body was reported Sunday around 8:30 a.m. and the death is being treated as suspicious.
Mesa fire officials say the body is that of an adult male and had been in the water for a considerable amount of time.
Investigators are currently surrounding an area near Mesa Drive and Brown Road.
The investigation remains ongoing.
