Mesa police were involved in a short pursuit overnight near Extension and Baseline roads.
Police say one police cruiser was hit after an officer approached the driver of a truck who was stopped on Extension Road and looked to be sleeping.
When an officer tried to talk to the man he made a U-turn and hit a cruiser before driving away.
The driver eventually stopped a few blocks away on Baseline, between Alma School and Extension roads.
Police say alcohol was a factor in the incident.
No officers were hurt.
