An overnight motorcycle collision closed the westbound lanes of US- 60 to the Interstate 10, impacting Monday morning's early commuters.
The incident happened around midnight on the transition ramp from US-60 westbound to I-10 westbound. The westbound lanes of US-60 were shut down for several hours, reopening around 6 a.m. Many drivers from the east Valley found themselves stuck in heavy backups.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the collision involved two riders on a motorcycle. Both riders suffered injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation.
