The Tempe Police Department is looking for information related to an October murder.

Police say the victim, 33-year-old James Fennelly, was shot and killed by two black male suspects who entered his home on October 27.

"Heaven forbid they do this to someone else. I don't know if they have killed before, but I hope it is the last," said Pam Fennelly, the victim’s mother. "I hope someone knows something that they can tell the police."

According to police, the suspects entered the home near University Drive and Hardy Drive around 2:30 a.m. They also report that James Fennelly’s 7-year-old daughter was in the home at the time of the murder.

"My son was terrified for his daughter just before he died. I hope he knows she got out OK," Pam Fennelly said. "The sound of her grieving was terrible."

Now, James Fennelly's daughter is adjusting to a new way to be with her father.

"His ashes are in that box… she talks to it. She says, ‘Goodnight.’ She wanted to give him a glass of water the other day, just in case he was thirsty," Pam Fennelly said. "I hope she really can feel him. I would give anything to feel his presence."
