Authorities say the suspect wanted for stabbing a woman at a light rail platform on Saturday has been arrested.
Police said the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Hasan Garrett, was an acquaintance of the victim. The two had an argument about some items before he stabbed the woman multiple times, according to a Tempe Police Department spokeswoman.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be released sometime this week.
Garrett was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, failure to register as a sex offender and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Court records show his bond was set at $50,000 and he remained in custody at the Maricopa County Jail as of Monday afternoon.
