A 29-year-old woman has been arrested after police believe she hit a child with her car when the boy was on a skateboard earlier this month.
According to the Tempe Police Department, Alyssa Malone was arrested in connection to the incident after 8-year-old Zion Patterson, who was on a skateboard, was violently hit by a car and thrown to the ground while on a neighborhood street on March 2.
In a surveillance video from a city bus, the vehicle Malone was reportedly driving appears to stop for a brief moment, but ultimately drives away after hitting the boy. While the boy quickly gets to his feet, no one in the car pulled over to check on him.

"If I would have done that to your child, I would have at least waited," said Zion's mom, Jamie Campbow.
Tempe police said prior to the crash the boy had just exited a city bus on Hayden Lane near Kenwood Circle. It appears the incident happened within a neighborhood, so there was not a designated crosswalk in the area.
Tempe police thanked, via Twitter, those who called officials with tips.
