An investigation is underway after an adult man was found shot and killed in Avondale on Sunday morning.
Avondale police say they responded to a report of shots fired near Litchfield Road and Main Street around 1 a.m.
As officers arrived, the victim was located with an apparent gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Police say there were no other victims in the incident.
Detectives are now investigating the circumstances of what led to the shooting.
Police say there are no outstanding suspects at this time.
