Fire officials are investigating an apartment fire in Glendale that may have been caused by an explosion.
According to the Glendale Fire Department, a woman called them to inform them of a loud boom she had heard outside her door at an apartment complex near 67th and Glendale avenues.
Fire officials said the explosion may have happened near a staircase at the complex.
A hazmat team was called out to the complex after a scent was detected.
Officials said the cause of the fire isn't known at the moment.
The Red Cross said they are assisting four families displaced by the fire and are providing emergency help which could include food, clothing, and a place to stay.
