No injuries were reported after a helicopter caught fire at the Glendale Municipal Airport on Tuesday morning.

Glendale police say authorities responded to the airport just after 9 a.m. for a report of a helicopter with smoke coming out.

Fire officials say everyone was able to make it out of the helicopter safely.

Federal Aviation Administration officials said the pilot was practicing landing with a simulated power loss when engine cowling began smoking.

Two people were aboard the helicopter at the time of the incident, according to the FAA.

The helicopter suffered minor damage in the incident.
