A man told Glendale police that he was tied up, robbed and carjacked Friday after meeting a woman on Facebook.

The victim told officers that he traveled from southern Arizona on Thursday after meeting the woman online on Wednesday. The pair stayed at an apartment near 59th and Montebello avenues, and the next afternoon three armed men entered the apartment, tied him up, stole his wallet, phone and truck and drove away.

Police said the victim was able to free himself after some time and call police around 5:30 p.m.

Police told ABC15 that the tenant of the apartment where the crime was committed is not connected to the crime, and they are trying to identify the woman who was at the apartment with the victim. She has not been located at this time.

Anyone who sees a red 2013 Dodge Ram with the Arizona license plate BBM5032 is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at (623) 930-3000 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.
