A 21-year-old man is in custody for allegedly shooting two people at a Glendale Walmart in 2016.
According to the Glendale Police Department, 21-year-old Almalik Ward faces multiple charges after he was located and arrested in California.
Police say on December 7, officers responded to the store near 95th Avenue and Camelback Road for a report of a double shooting.
As officers arrived, they found two male victims who suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Further investigation revealed that the victims came into contact with Ward and a juvenile male who was with him, in the parking lot of the Walmart.
Ward reportedly followed the victims inside the store and confronted them, firing shots from a handgun at the victims.
Police say one of the victims had returned fire with his own handgun.
Ward is back in Maricopa County on a bond more than $500,000 awaiting trial for the Walmart shooting and other charges.
