Police: Man stabbed at Glendale home shoots suspect

Glendale police are investigating a shooting and stabbing that happened early Saturday morning.

Authorities were called to the area of Glendale and 60th avenues around 7:30 after a person reported a fight between three men.

The altercation started after two men came to the victim's home, police said. The victim was stabbed in the arm and in turn, shot one of the suspects.

The pair fled the scene before police arrived and the victim allegedly admitted to shooting one of the men, authorities said. 

It was later discovered that the person who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound went to the hospital for treatment, police said. The second suspect was taken into custody and there are no other outstanding suspects at this time.

It's unknown what started the altercation and no additional information was released.

The victim was treated at the scene and not hospitalized.

The identities of the suspects have not been released at this time.
