For the second year in a row at a San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals game, the most dangerous place in the stadium might be in the stands.
Cardinals fan Richard Harmon shot video of a brawl near a concession stand that happened on Sunday.
"Sucker punches were thrown," Harmon, of Peoria, said.
Glendale Police responded to several fights at Sunday's game at the University of Phoenix Stadium, according to Sergeant David Vidaure, a police spokesman.
No one involved required medical help and all parties declined prosecution, Vidaure said.
The scene was not as violent as a melee near the top of the stadium when the 49ers visited Glendale last September.
That case is still winding through the court system, according to a victim. The status of the case could not be verified Monday night by ABC15.
And the reason for the fights, according to season ticket holder Harmon, is "a mixture of alcohol, it's manly men going to watch football [who] want to thump their chest, and the Niners just aren't used to losing."
