Glendale Police say a 61-year-old woman has died after her motorized scooter was hit by an SUV on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred near 61st and Olive avenues around 4:30 p.m., according to police.
Before the woman made it across the roadway in the crosswalk, the traffic light turned green and a white SUV traveling southbound struck her in the intersection.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Neither speed nor impairment are believed to be factors in the crash.
