Two men, who also happen to be stepbrothers, are suspected of committing hundreds of car burglaries in the Valley, according to the Goodyear Police Department.
Officials said they arrested 21-year-old Matthew Fauber and 18-year-old Christopher Bennett last week after someone called 911, saying the pair were trying to break into a car near Litchfield and Indian School roads.
Police said they tracked down the brothers near a stolen car that they had been driving to commit the crimes.
After serving a search warrant on the suspects’ Peoria home, police said they found electronics and other items that are believed to have been stolen. They also found drug paraphernalia.
Fauber and Bennett were booked in jail and are each facing a slew of charges, including five counts of burglary from a motor vehicle, being in a stolen vehicle, auto theft, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
