The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says rescue workers recovered the body of 24-year-old Chintan Shah Wednesday morning at Lake Pleasant.
Shah went missing Sunday afternoonwhile swimming on the lake with a group of friends.
When the group realized Shah wasn't with them anymore while on the lake, they searched the area where they were swimming and went back to the marina to ask MCSO for help when they couldn't find him.
Deputies do not believe alcohol was involved. Shah knew how to swim, but was not wearing a life jacket at the time he went missing.
