Police in Peoria say a man has been arrested in a domestic violence shooting that wounded a 14-year-old girl.

They say 31-year-old Adam Vandever was taken into custody Thursday after being released from a hospital.

Police say Vandever is being held on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, drive-by shooting and disorderly conduct with a firearm.

They say the teen girl was caught in the crossfire of shots fired outside a mobile home park Monday night.

Police say Vandever drove to a neighborhood where his estranged 30-year-old wife was in the process of leaving home with three children and shot at the woman's car.

A 35-year-old man who's a family member of Vandever's wife exchanged gunfire with Vandever, who was wounded in one of his legs.
