The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says a child has died after she was pulled from a pool in Youngtown.
According to the Sun City Fire Department, the toddler was airlifted to Phoenix Children's Hospital after she was discovered in a pool at a home near 111th and Alabama avenues.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said the girl had crawled out of the house through a dog door and ended up in the water. MCSO said the child was missing for about 10 minutes.
The child was found to be unresponsive after she was taken out of the water. She was transported to a hospital and was later pronounced dead.
MCSO is investigating the incident, which happened around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
