Police in Surprise have released the name of the second woman who was killed inside a home last week.
They say the other victim was 75-year-old Ruth Schwed, who lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Police say Schwed was visiting 70-year-old Barbara Leslie at her home near Reems and Bell roads.
The two women were found fatally shot after a possible home invasion.
Police say the search continues for a suspect or suspects in the double homicide case.
Officers making a welfare check at the Leslie residence at the request of an out-of-state family member found the bodies on the night of Feb. 9.
Police say a car was stolen from the home's garage and later found abandoned at a Phoenix-area apartment complex.
They say officers continue to sort through evidence and follow up leads.
