CORDES JUNCTION, AZ — A portion of I-17 was shut down north of the Valley after a fire engulfed a truck hauling eggs.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says traffic was shut down on southbound I-17 at Arcosanti Road in Cordes Junction.
ADOT says drivers were getting around the closure using nearby exit and entrance ramps, but to expect delays.
The fire occurred early Friday morning, but there’s no word yet on what caused the fire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
