Did you feel it? You probably didn’t feel it but a magnitude (M) 2.6 earthquake shook Arizona over the weekend.

The Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS) said on March 29 a M 2.3 earthquake occurred 23 miles southwest of Littlefield, Arizona.

AZGS said the earthquake resulted in a swarm of 18 small earthquakes that happened until April 3.

On April 3, a M 2.6 earthquake happened in the same area, the largest event of the swarm of earthquakes.

According to AZGS, the trend of this earthquake swarm is similar to other events that happened in central and northern Arizona.

AZGS said strong lineaments in the landscape suggests there are possible active faults north of the largest earthquake.

In the past two years there have been significant earthquakes in Arizona.

On November 2, 2015 M 4.1 and 4.0 earthquakes centered in Black Canyon City, Arizona shook the Phoenix area. A M 4.7 earthquake shook the Kachina Village, Arizona area on November 30, 2015
