Paul Penzone now has the support of a 10-time Grammy Award-winner in his run for Maricopa County Sheriff.
John Legend, who has stumped for Hillary Clinton at several of her campaign events this year, said on Twitter that Sheriff Joe Arpaio has abused his power.
Abuse of power. Criminal contempt. Racism. Arizona, vote Penzone and put a stop to Arpaio. https://t.co/8DMU8mKE0H

Arpaio is facing criminal contempt charges for continuing to profile Latino drivers after a federal judge barred him from doing so.
Arpaio has been fairly political in his own right, speaking ahead of Donald Trump during his campaign visits to the Valley. He endorsed Trump in January.
That same month, Legend performed outside a jail in Eloy with Colombian singer Juanes. Arpaio, via Twitter, invited him to visit his Tent City jail, but Legend said "maybe next time."
