A teenage boy is dead after drowning at Bartlett Lake Sunday afternoon.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office was called to an area just south of Sandy Beach Cove after a 15-year-old was lost sight of his friend while the two were swimming.
The boy immediately swam to shore to call for help.
The MCSO dive team responded to the area and located the 15-year-old victim’s body in 15-feet of water, a MCSO spokesperson said.
The incident is not being investigated at suspicious at this time.
