4 AZ restaurants make OpenTable's Top 100 list

An upscale Phoenix restaurant has been named one of the top restaurants in America.

Kai at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa, the Valley's only AAA Five Diamond restaurant, was named the third best restaurant in America, according to OpenTable.

Café Monarch, Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician and ShinBay were also named to the list, but specific rankings were given only to the Top 10.

Kai's menu reflects the Pima and Maricopa tribes and the ingredients come locally from the Gila River Indian Community. Entree items range in price from $42 - $55, but, according to OpenTable reviews, to get the full experience it's recommended to try one of their tasting options to sample a majority of the menu.

“It is an honor to once again receive this recognition from OpenTable diners,” said Stephanie Sanstead, Director of Public Relations. “Our dining guests are our most valued critics and we are humbled to earn their coveted endorsement.  This accolade is a true testament to our talented team who delivers personalized and exceptional dining experiences every night.”

All of the honorees were included in OpenTable's 100 Best Restaurants in America. The list was compiled using more than 5 million reviews of over 20,000 restaurants by the site's verified users.

"These are the places that get it right every time — where everyone feels like a VIP and each meal is memorable," said the report description.

St. Francis Winery & Vineyards in Santa Rosa, Calif. topped the list followed by Mama's Fish House in Paia, Hawaii. The 100 restaurants represent 29 states.
