U.S. Rep. Trent Franks is the only GOP congressman from Arizona attending the Republican National Convention.
ABC15 caught up with Franks from Cleveland. He did not want to address the reasons why his other fellow state Republicans in Congress are not at the convention, but he said that it is not difficult to support Donald Trump.
"[To] the many conservatives that think they're not sure whether they can count on Mr. Trump to do the right things, but I will tell you, we should be very clear, we can all count on Mrs. Clinton to do the wrong thing every time," Franks said.
Franks previously supported Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for president, who was scheduled to speak at the GOP convention on Wednesday, but noted that he had a "very encouraging" conversation with Trump in Washington, D.C., two weeks ago.
