Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio confirmed that he will attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland later this month.
"I will be there to watch Donald Trump's back," Arpaio told ABC15 on Wednesday.
The sheriff said he hasn't heard from Trump's campaign on whether he is scheduled to speak at the convention, but he still plans to talk to the media.
A spokeswoman for former Gov. Jan Brewer also confirmed Wednesday that she is expected to attend Cleveland's RNC, which is scheduled for July 18-21.
