US Border Patrol agents are reacting to President Trump's border wall prototypes. Eight different designs were built just yards from the California - Mexico border near San Diego.

Half are made of concrete, half are made from other materials.

Agents who work the area favor a design from KWR Construction, Inc out of Sierra Vista, Arizona.

That company's design features bollard fencing near the ground, a solid panel higher up to mitigate rocks and bottles hitting agents, and metal tubing near the top to make scaling the wall more difficult.

Border Patrol tactical teams were given access to the prototypes to try to thwart the designs with mixed results.

Teams were able to scale two of the designs, struggled with others, and weren't able to penetrate at least one of the designs according to Border Patrol Supervisor, Agent William Rogers.

What agents favor is only one consideration when it comes to a final design.

Construction cost, location, durability and repair costs will also play into the final procurement process.
