ABC15 viewers from around Arizona sent in photos of the contrail from a New Mexico missile launch.
Officials alerted Arizona residents about the upcoming missile launch on Wednesday.
The launch of the Juno missile took place on Thursday at 7:00 a.m. from the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
White Sands is located northeast of Las Cruces, New Mexico but the launch was visible in Arizona.
According to the White Sands Missile Range Public Affairs, Juno missiles are used as targets for interceptor missiles currently being tested at the range.
