It's official: Tim Tebow is now a professional baseball player.
And that statement alone makes many people angry.
I'm wondering: Why? Why is Tim Tebow such a polarizing figure?
The guy does absolutely nothing that can be labeled as controversial. Unless being an outspoken Christian can somehow be considered contentious, the guy's record is the squeakiest of clean.
Have you ever heard him badmouth a teammate? Or fire back at just one of his thousands of critics?
No. If he did, the Twittersphere would explode.
His NFL career didn't pan out, so he tried broadcasting. The critics let him have it for that.
Now, he tries his hand at professional baseball, and here we go again.
It's as if people want to see him fail, and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
We only get one life, and I think we can all agree: This young man's making the most of it.
If he fails, he fails. But at least he tried. And putting yourself out there, trying something like this, when your last name is Tebow, takes a lot of courage.
I, for one, applaud Tim Tebow and wish him all the best.
