Six weeks after signing former Arizona State running back D.J. Foster, the Arizona Cardinals have added another former Sun Devil to their roster.

The Cardinals have signed quarterback Mike Bercovici to their practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. Bercovici played at ASU from 2011-15 and was the team's starter throughout his senior season. He was a member of the Chargers' practice squad in 2016 and '17, and he had a stellar preseason performance against the Cardinals in 2016.

Bercovici threw 30 touchdown passes in his senior season at ASU and led the Sun Devils to six victories, including a win at UCLA and a Territorial Cup win over Arizona, and a Cactus Bowl appearance. His most famous moment at ASU came when he threw a Hail Mary pass to Jaelen Strong to beat USC in 2014.

Earlier on Monday, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the team might look to add a quarterback to their practice squad after starter Carson Palmer suffered a broken left arm in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams in London. Backup QB Drew Stanton will start in Palmer's place, with third-string QB Blaine Gabbert likely moved up from the practice squad.
