The world's best swimmer and the most decorated gold medalist in Olympic history is getting ready to try out his throwing arm.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced that Michael Phelps, a 23-time gold-medalist, will throw out the first pitch before the D-backs' National League Division Series game vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday. That game will start at 7:08 p.m at Chase Field in Phoenix.

Phelps is preparing to become an assistant swimming coach at Arizona State under his own coach, Bob Bowman. He appeared in ASU basketball's Curtain of Distraction in January 2016.
Former Cardinals quarterback and Pro Football Hall of Famer Kurt Warner threw out the first pitch before the D-backs' Wild Card game on Wednesday.
