The Phoenix Suns have parted ways with coach Earl Watson just three games into the 2017-18 season.

Watson posted a 33-85 record as the Suns' coach. Originally an assistant head coach with the Suns, he was named the team's interim head coach when the Suns fired Jeff Hornacek during the 2015-16 season and was awarded the full-time job before the 2016-17 season.

Suns associate head coach and former Toronto Raptors head coach Jay Triano is the team's interim head coach. Triano was the head coach of the Toronto Raptors for three seasons and is currently the head coach of Canada's men's national basketball team.

The Suns are off to an 0-3 start this season, including a 48-point loss in their season opener, the worst loss in franchise history.

Watson played collegiately at UCLA and was a 13-year NBA player.

The announcement came just hours after Suns guard Eric Bledsoe tweeted "I Dont wanna be here".
