As part of the sixth annual News Literacy Week, Nick Ciletti highlighted how students are getting the necessary tools to spot misinformation and track down reliable sources online:
“In 2025, it's more important than ever to be able to spot what's real and what is fake. I was so impressed with the eighth-grade students I met at Glenn L. Downs Social Sciences Academy in Phoenix. They already know so much more than I did at their age! Most importantly, they're learning to rely on the skills they're learning to help spot useful sources of information. It's a class I think a lot of us adults could use, too!”
