In preparation for the holiday season, Best Buy announced that it will be hiring thousands of seasonal employees across the country, with a minimum of $15 per hour in starting pay.

Best Buy stores are hosting job fairs for its seasonal positions on Oct. 3-4, which may include same-day interviews and on-the-spot offers. You can find job listings and begin the application process onlinehere. While Best Buy hasn’t outlined specifically how many employees it plans to hire, the online job posting board shows there are currently 2,648 open seasonal positions.

Those who are interested in working at Best Buy this holiday season can apply for jobs in sales, customer service and merchandising inventory. Positions at the company’s distribution centers or as car install technicians are also available. In addition to an employee discount, Best Buy’s part-time employees also qualify for a 401(k) plan (after a certain period of time).

Best Buy has more than 1,000 stores across the United States.

Last year, Glassdoor ranked Best Buy as the No. 1 company to work for during the holidays after analyzing reviews from seasonal employees across several sectors, including retail, customer service, transportation, sales and labor.

Seasonal employees at Best Buy appreciated perks like the employee discount and paid time off for part-time workers.

FedEx, American Eagle Outfitters, H&M, The Home Depot, Amazon, UPS, Lowe’s, TJ Maxx and Kohl’s also topped the Glassdoor list of best places to work during the holidays.

Best Buy is the latest mega-retailer to announce seasonal hiring plans amid COVID-19.

Target announced it would be hiring an additional 130,000 seasonal employees, with hourly pay starting at $15 plus coronavirus health and wellness coverage with free access to healthcare through virtual doctor visits. Walmart will be hiring an additional 20,000 employees to work in its e-commerce fulfillment centers, with starting pay ranging between $15.75 and $23.75 depending on location, hours and position.
