Sedona chef Lisa Dahl is pitting her culinary talents against those of chef and Food Network star, Bobby Flay.
The chef and restaurateur will appear on Flay's TV show, "Beat Bobby Flay" Thursday, May 24. Check your local TV guide for show times.
Like its name suggests, the premise of the show is to beat Bobby Flay at his own game.
The competition happens in two rounds.
During the first round, two chefs compete against each other in a timed cooking competition with a mystery ingredient chosen by Flay. The chef's dish that appeases the judges more, and appears to have the best chance to defeat Flay, moves on to the next round.
In the second round, the winning chef gets to choose his or her "signature dish" which Flay has to also make.
A panel of three judges will then taste each dish and decide who wins.
Dahl owns four restaurants in Sedona, including Mariposa and Cucina Rustica. In April, she announced that she would open a "couture burger lounge"called Butterfly Burger early next year.
