Arizona Mills and Phoenix Premium Outlets to close amid COVID-19 concerns

TEMPE, AZ — Arizona Mills, Phoenix Premium Outlets, and Tucson Premium Outlets will close at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, and remain closed until the end of the month, the malls' parent company, Simon, announced on Wednesday.

"The health and safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees is of paramount importance and we are taking this step to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities," said David Simon, chairman, CEO and president of Simon, in a news release.

In its release, Simon said all of its properties would be temporarily closed until March 29.
