Arizona Spring Training 2021: What fans need to know before the games this year in Arizona

PHOENIX — It's official: Spring Training is on!

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all of the stadiums in the Arizona Cactus League will operate at significantly reduced capacities, allowing a reduced number of fans to attend each game.

Unsurprisingly, the experience will be a bit different due to the pandemic -- tickets will be sold in groups of two, four, and six; masks are required to be worn throughout the stadiums except when actively eating or drinking; no bags will be allowed inside the stadiums aside from small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags; and pre-game practices and autographs are closed to the public.

And, at some stadiums, no sunflower seeds to avoid spitting.

Here is what we know about each stadium's plans and how to get tickets.

WHEN DO SPRING TRAINING TICKETS GO ON SALE?

• Feb. 18: Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers

• Feb. 19: Chicago Cubs

• Feb. 20: Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers

• Feb. 22: Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds

• Feb. 23: Los Angeles Angels
• Feb. 24: San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners

SALT RIVER FIELDS - ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS & COLORADO ROCKIES

• Spring Training tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time). D-backs tickets. Rockies tickets. (update: All Dbacks home games are sold out)
• Masks are required at all times. You can take masks off when in your seat and eating or drinking.
• Season tickets are not available this year. Tickets will be sold in groups of 2, 4, and 6.
• Updated bag policy: Salt River Fields will have the clear bag policy in place this year. All bags must be clear and fit to the stadium's size specifications.
• Cashless payments (debit or credit only) for tickets, parking, and concessions.
• Concessions will have limited, pre-packaged offerings this year.

TEMPE DIABLO STADIUM - LOS ANGELES ANGELS

• Spring Training tickets for Los Angeles Angels home games will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. (MDT). Presale tickets are also available. Angels tickets.
• Between 1,800 - 2,000 people will be allowed inside the stadium, or about 25% of its capacity.
• Masks will be required throughout the stadium, except while eating or drinking.
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)
• Groups will be spaced out and lawn seating will be separated into "pods."

SLOAN PARK - CHICAGO CUBS
Address: 2330 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa, AZ 85201

• Spring Training tickets for the Chicago Cubs home games at Sloan Park go on sale Friday, Feb. 19 at noon (MDT). Cubs tickets.
• No more than 4,000 fans will be allowed inside Sloan Park during games.
• Masks are required to be worn except when eating or drinking (gaiters and masks with vents are prohibited)
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)
• Stadium tickets will be sold in "pods" of 2, 4, and 6. Groups will be spaced out. Stadium will be cashless.
• Practice fields are closed to the public this year and autographs will not be allowed
• Concessions will be limited and available for mobile orders.

HOHOKAM STADIUM - OAKLAND ATHLETICS

• Hohokam Stadium will operate at about 20% -- or limited to 2,000 fans -- of its normal capacity during Spring Training. Tickets are set to go on sale at 11 a.m. (MDT) on Thursday, Feb. 18. Oakland A's tickets.
• Seats will be sold in pods of two and four. Groups will be spaced out by at least six feet. No season tickets this year.
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)
• Fans will be required to wear masks or face coverings throughout stadium except when actively eating or drinking.
• Concessions and the team shop will have reduced capacity, safety COVID-19 markers, social distancing and plexiglass

CAMELBACK RANCH - GLENDALE - CHICAGO WHITE SOX & LOS ANGELES DODGERS

• Spring Training tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. (MDT) on Saturday, Feb. 20. White Sox tickets. Dodgers tickets.
• Camelback Range will operate at 18% capacity and will allow up to 2,400 fans on game days.
• No season tickets this year. Seats will be sold online in groups of 2, 4, and 6 tickets and groups will be separated from other groups.
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)
• Fans will be required to wear masks or face coverings throughout stadium except when actively eating or drinking.

AMERICAN FAMILY FIELDS OF PHOENIX - MILWAUKEE BREWERS

• Spring Training tickets go on sale Thursday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. (MST). They will be available online or at the Phoenix box office. Brewers tickets.
• Like other stadiums, the Phoenix stadium will limit capacity to 2,300 fans per game.
• Tickets will be sold in pods of two and four.
• Those two and older will be required to wear a mask at all times inside the stadium except when actively eating or drinking.
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)

PEORIA SPORTS COMPLEX - SEATTLE MARINERS & SAN DIEGO PADRES

• Spring Training tickets for the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres will go on sale on Wednesday, Feb. 24. Mariners tickets. Padres tickets.
• Season tickets are not available. Seats will be sold in groups of 1-4, and groups will be separated from one another.
• Peoria Sports Complex will allow 1,960 fans -- or 19% of the stadium's capacity -- to attend home games.
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)
• Concessions and vendors will not accept cash this year and will rely on debit or credit cards or mobile-friendly payments (ie: Apple Pay, Google Pay).
• Those two and older will be required to wear a mask at all times inside the stadium except when actively eating or drinking.
• Practice fields and autograph signings will be closed to the public this year.

SURPRISE STADIUM - KANSAS CITY ROYALS & TEXAS RANGERS

• Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 8 a.m. (MST). Royals tickets. Rangers tickets.
• Surprise Stadium capacity will be reduced to 25% on game days, according to its website.
• Like other stadiums, tickets will be sold in "pods" of 2, 4, and 6 people. People within a pod do not need to social distance, but each pod will be distanced from other groups.
• Those two and older are required to wear a mask or facial covering at all times inside the stadium, except when actively eating or drinking.
• Concessions and vendors will also be cashless and food will be distributed in individual containers. Condiments will also be in individual packets.
• No bag policy: Bags are not allowed into the venue (small clutches, wallets, diaper bags and medical bags OK)

GOODYEAR BALLPARK - CLEVELAND INDIANS & CINCINNATI REDS

• Spring Training tickets for the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 19. Tickets will be sold online only. Indians tickets. Reds tickets.
• On Feb. 25, the physical box office will open for walk-up ticket sales.
• Tickets will be sold in "pods" of 1-6 tickets.
• No bags, including purses, will be allowed into the stadium this year. Exceptions are for diaper and medical bags and small clutch bags.
• Everyone two and older will be required to wear a mask except when actively eating or drinking.
• Players will not sign autographs before the game. The Kids Zone, including the wiffle ball field, will be closed.

SCOTTSDALE STADIUM - SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

• The City of Scottsdale said Scottsdale Stadium will allow up to 1,000 seats to be sold for each home day during Spring Training, plus up to 170 seats in the Churro Lodge. Giants tickets.
• Like other stadiums, seats will be sold in pods of two, four, and six.
• Fans, staff and members of the press will have to complete an app-based health screening prior to entering the stadium.
• Bags will not be allowed inside Scottsdale Stadium (except diaper or medical bags)
• Masks are required for those two and older at all times inside the stadium (except when actively eating or drinking)
• Limited concessions will be available. All transactions are cashless (debit or credit). Plexiglass barriers will be used at concession stands.
